Summer

When temperatures tend to rise, the mountains are the ideal refuge. Fresh air, clear days, green meadows full of colourful flowers, cows grazing, in short, fairytale images that are reality here. Now is the time to get to know Val Gardena in the middle of the Dolomites, a Unesco World Heritage Site, from different perspectives. Spring

Spring in Val Gardena is truly unique. Up high the mountains are still covered in snow and offer perfect slopes for the last descents of the season, while down in the valley the meadows are green and colourful in bloom. Nature is awakening, you can hear the chirping of the birds, the sound of streams flowing down from the Alps, the days are getting longer and the temperatures are getting milder. It is the right season for pleasant, relaxing hikes and mountain bike tours. Spring awakens the desire to go out and Chalet Urela is the perfect starting point for hikes, more challenging walks, but also for pleasant hours of shopping in the centre of S. Cristina.

Autumn

Autumn in Val Gardena is the season of colours, of warm and embracing tones, of chestnuts falling from the trees, of mountains that turn into flaming peaks with the last rays of the sun. It is a magical, peaceful season, full of natural events before a white blanket of snow covers the peaks. The crisp air and colourful forests invite you to take the last hikes in the mountains until the huts close. Autumn is the time of markets, festivals and culinary specialities such as roasted chestnuts, new wine and fresh apple juice. Let yourself be captivated by nature and the genuine hospitality of the valley.
